Robo Athlete? UA’s E39
Soon, I will be able to post my total workout performance? I’m almost not sure if I want to do that, but it is definitely cool tech.
Apple TV hack site?
Word on the street is this really works. Gonna try it out this weekend.
Patiently waiting for my iPad2
Almost everywhere I go now I see someone using an iPad. On my way back from CES last month, almost everyone on the plane had one propped up on their tray watching video. Even my Favorite closet homosexual pastor, the honorable Bishop Edie long, carries one around while preaching.
Now that Rumor mill is buzzing though, I’m getting all tingly inside all over again. I admit I was one of those with the wide-eyed stare of amazement last year when the IPAD was first introduced. I knew it would be successful, but I had no idea how much it would actually change the world. And I believe it has for the better and we won’t be going back. Schools are starting to give them out to students instead of laptops. At this past CES the amount of stuff, peripherals, add-ons, stands, carriers, etc, was almost over the top. New Businesses dedicated entirely to adding more value to the device have sprung up overnight. It was the hottest gift item this past Xmas for sure and it is the item to give-away at contests, and raffles because who wouldn’t want one for free or for a small donation? Now others are trying to get on the boat. Dell, blackberry, Samsung are trying their best to compete with it. All of it is healthy of course, because it opens the platform to so many more people. I wish them luck.
For me, iPad-2 is bound to be better and will continue to succeed way beyond any competitor. Even if all the rumors don’t come true; Retina display, SD, slots, dual cameras, etc; It will still be the coolest gadget to own. For me, all I wish for is a bigger storage and at least one camera and it will be worth chucking out another $500. Yes I am a Fan-boy, I admit it. All iPad owners understand this.
Latest rumors?
………in addition to its better quality display iPad-2 will ship with:
- Faster CPU (ARM Cortex-A9 dual core processor running at 1.2GHz)
- Dual core GPU (Imagination’s SGX543)
- 512MB RAM running at 1,066 MHz (same as iPhone 4 and twice as much as iPad 1, and faster. iPhone 4 memory clock is 800 MHz).
- Separate CDMA and GSM SKUs (GSM will use Infineon chip, CDMA will useQualcomm chip)
- iPod touch-like dual cameras
Rumors: iPad 2 getting thinner, antiglare screen, no SD slot
I’m crossing my fingers for the SD slot. Hopefully, in the next few weeks the suspense will be over and the commentary will begin again.
More video from CES day 2
Finally got some video clips I shot on day 2 from CES posted to YouTube. This first video is just some random clips from the different exhibits that caught my eye. The second video was shot using my iPhone camera, in the dark, trying to capture something 50+ feet away; Not recommended.

CES 2011: Day 3 – Even more cool stuff
This is a quick post, I have to head out the door early this morning. Spent yesterday mostly at the Venetian checking out the “High Performance Audio” pavilion. Back at the Convention Center, we finally got a chance to check out the outdoor exhibits by Ford and got to demo a $200,000 sound system by Harman. Check out the pics below. That last few shots are of my possible future phone from Motorola. Had to take a look at it again, touch it, and play with it. Really impressive.
